Lucas Tree Experts is seeking motivated individuals for the role of Ground Operations Technician / Arborist Trainee in Fairfield, ME. The position offers 19–21 USD per hour, with free on-the-job training and potential licensing/certification support.

No prior tree-industry experience is required; the company emphasizes learning the trade, safety, and opportunities for advancement. The job is full-time, outdoors, with a strong emphasis on physical labor and skill development.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
• Must be 18+ with HS Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work outside in varied weather.
• Must be willing to obtain CDL A or B license and necessary licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manually remove vegetation from work areas.
• Pesticide application as required.
• Safely operate forestry equipment (skidders, mowers, chainsaws, ATVs).
• Perform line clearance, pruning, and removals.
