Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Sygma Carolina operation in Charlotte, NC. This role builds pallets, loads product onto trailers, and performs tasks to meet safety and quality standards using a pallet jack and forklift.

Responsibilities include reading pick sheets, labeling products, maintaining a clean, compliant warehouse, and communicating issues to management. Requirements include a high school diploma and forklift/pallet jack certification, with English proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift and pallet jack license/certification required.
• Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Read pick sheets and travel to warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
• Pick product types and quantities, label, and load pallets onto trucks according to standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse per standards; handle spills and dispose of waste properly.
• Communicate issues to management (out-of-stocks, safety concerns).
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely; report equipment issues.
• Complete paperwork and track time with a wearable device for productivity reporting.
• Work schedule with regular attendance and overtime as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management.
