Job summary

Sysco is hiring in Dallas for a warehouse role focused on hand-building pallets and loading product onto trailers. You will read pick sheets, select items, label, palletize, and load according to standards. You’ll operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners while maintaining food safety and a clean workspace.

Expect to follow safety guidelines, communicate with management about issues, and track time with wearable devices. A forklift license and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months warehouse experience preferred; or equivalent.
• Forklift and pallet jack license/certification.
• Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Able to build pallets quickly, accurately and safely.
• Read, write and communicate in English relating to safety rules.
• Perform basic math and follow written/oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Reads pick sheets and travels to warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
• Picks product type and quantity, labels and places on pallets.
• Loads pallets onto trucks according to standards and zones.
• Maintains clean, safe warehouse; handles spills and damage appropriately.
• Communicates issues to management (out-of-stocks, safety, quality).
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners safely; reports equipment issues.
• Completes paperwork and uses wearable computer for time tracking.
• Works schedule with regular attendance and overtime as needed.
