Job summary

Sysco is seeking a warehouse associate to hand-build pallets and load trailers in a fast-paced distribution setting. You will read pick sheets, select products, label items, and place them on pallets for loading according to established standards.

This role emphasizes food safety, accurate handling, and efficient pallet construction. As part of our team, you will operate forklifts and pallet jacks while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 6 months of warehouse experience preferred or equivalent.
• Forklift and pallet jack license/certification preferred.
• Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Read, write and communicate in English related to job and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read pick sheets and travel to warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
• Pick product, label, palletize, and load onto trucks per standards.
• Build pallets following food safety procedures and check for damages.
• Maintain clean, safe warehouse environment; handle spills and waste properly.
• Communicate issues to management (out of stocks, safety concerns).
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and scanners safely; report equipment issues.
• Complete paperwork and track time using wearable computer for productivity.
• Maintain regular attendance and work overtime as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
