Job summary

Macy’s, Inc. in California is seeking a Manager, Outbound Transportation to oversee store delivery transportation and furniture/bedding home delivery from a store delivery center.

You will partner with SDC operations and carriers to optimize outbound deliveries for speed, cost, and service. You will plan routing, integrate inbound/outbound moves, communicate plans to store operations, and manage carrier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Transportation.
• Flexibility to work across shifts, including peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Lead store delivery transportation for the center and hubs.
• Plan and optimize daily and seasonal routing with Transportation Optimization.
• Integrate inbound and outbound moves to improve efficiency.
• Communicate transportation plans and policies to store operations.
• Maintain partnerships with carriers and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with operations to align operating models and service levels.
• Leverage data analytics to identify cost and performance improvements.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and replacement needs.
• Partner with finance on monthly budget planning and metrics.
