Job summary

AirOps is seeking an engine builder to own, optimize, and scale our high-volume outbound infrastructure. You will manage the technical plumbing and deliverability systems powering 500K+ monthly emails across dozens of active client accounts, ensuring every customer consistently hits their performance goals.

This role sits at the intersection of outbound strategy, email infrastructure, deliverability, campaign performance, AI, experimentation, customer strategy, and product development.

Qualifications

• The High-Volume Specialist: managed complex, multi-account cold email environments at scale (100K+ emails/month).
• Data & Personalization Stack Expert: experience with data enrichment, personalization workflows, and bulk lead verification.
• A Pure Systems Thinker: views outbound as machine inputs, deliverability variables, data pipelines, and outputs.
• Enterprise Security & Compliance Operations: comfortable operating outbound infrastructure within enterprise brand guidelines, with domain security and auditable workflows.
• Obsessed with Infrastructure: understands inbox provisioning, domain rotation, deliverability maintenance, and contact discovery.
• Metrics-Driven & Autonomous: you manage by the numbers and catch issues early.
• Backend Systems: prefer building scalable engines under the hood.

Responsibilities

• Own system-wide outbound performance and output guarantees across all active clients.
• Design, maintain, and scale our backend domain, inbox, and sending architecture for 500K+ monthly emails.
• Build a systematic testing engine across subject lines, messaging variations, targeting, and sending schedules.
• Own and refine prompt systems and LLM workflows for high-converting outbound copy and personalization.
• Bridge campaign operations and product development as the internal technical expert on cold email systems.
• Define playbooks and benchmarks to ensure consistent, high-quality campaign delivery across accounts.
