Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead for Shipping on the 2nd shift (1:30pm–10:00pm). You will lead the outbound team, schedule manpower, and optimize processes to meet daily shipping goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years in distribution/warehouse environments.
• Proficiency with WMS or equivalent distribution software.
• Leadership experience preferred; ability to guide teams in a warehouse.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to train others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to embrace change and drive improvements.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and planning abilities.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Outbound Department to meet shipping goals.
• Plan manpower and equipment to achieve daily objectives.
• Understand workload priorities across distribution center functions.
• Foster teamwork with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, productivity, and quality.
• Monitor department performance and suggest improvements.
• Coach and train team members.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of shipping issues.
• Coordinate with other departments for on-time orders.
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain records of shipments, inventory, and activity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
