Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Canal Winchester, Ohio, is seeking a Lead, Outbound-2nd Shift (Mon-Fri 2:00 PM–10:30 PM) to supervise warehouse operations and act as lead liaison between Warehouse Manager and teams.

The role emphasizes safe forklift operation, inventory control, order rotation and inspection, and coordination with the Supervisor to plan daily tasks and staffing. Qualified applicants will have 4–6 years' experience, OSHA familiarity, and forklift/computer skills.

Qualifications

• Lead level position with responsibility to supervise warehouse staff.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Generally prefer 4–6 years of experience.
• Must be familiar with OSHA regulations, able to operate a forklift and a computer, and have strong organizational, inventory and accounting skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and material handling equipment.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound containers and sort freight.
• Read freight coding to expedite movement and tracing.
• Reconcile driver pickup and delivery manifests.
• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight.
• Maintain dock safety and cleanliness.
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight.
• Coordinate staffing needs with Warehouse Supervisor.
• Delegate tasks in assigned area with Warehouse Supervisor.
• Identify system issues and report to supervisor.
• Coordinate trucking transportation in and out of the warehouse.
• Maintain quality standards for storage and service.
• Provide training to other warehouse personnel.
