Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Lead Associate for inbound operations on the Weekend Nights shift (Fri-Sun, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM) at the Canal Winchester, OH facility. You will lead warehouse activities, oversee loading/unloading, and coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure smooth freight flow.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 4-6 years of warehousing experience, and familiarity with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preference for prior forklift experience and knowledge of safety regulations.
• Experience in warehousing operations and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to operate warehouse software and basic computers.
• Strong organizational and counting skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE).
• Load and unload inbound/outbound freight and sort by size/destination.
• Read freight codes to expedite movement and tracing.
• Reconcile pickup/delivery manifests with drivers.
• Label, weigh, and measure freight dimensions.
• Maintain dock area cleanliness and safety.
• Document damaged or misrouted shipments on reports.
• Coordinate workload and staffing with Warehouse Supervisor.
• Resolve system/process issues in collaboration with supervisor.
• Coordinate trucking in and out of the warehouse.
• Ensure quality standards for storage and internal/external communication.
