Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Canal Winchester, OH, is seeking a Lead, Outbound for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM). You will lead loading/unloading, inventory control, and dock operations, providing direction to warehouse staff and coordinating with the Warehouse Supervisor.

The role requires a lead level with 4–6 years of experience, OSHA familiarity, and the ability to operate forklift and computer systems. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Generally 4–6 years of experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
• Able to operate a forklift and a computer.
• Strong organizational, inventory and accounting skills.
• Physical requirements include pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE).
• Load and unload inbound and outbound containers and sort freight by size and destination.
• Read and decipher freight coding to expedite movement and tracing.
• Reconcile driver pick up and delivery manifests.
• Label, weigh, and dimension freight.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of dock area.
• Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on reports.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor on workloads and staffing.
• Identify system or process issues and escalate to Warehouse Supervisor.
• Coordinate trucking transportation in and out of the warehouse.
• Maintain quality standards for storage and service.
• Provide training to other warehouse staff.
