Job summary

sefl is seeking a PT Outbound Freight Handler in Houston, TX to load and unload freight using forklifts and other equipment. You'll inspect trailers, verify weights, plan cube utilization, and ensure safe handling of freight including hazardous materials where applicable.

Responsibilities include reviewing freight bills, checking manifests, and ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, pass background and drug tests, and prefer forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• Prior forklift/dock or warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from trailers using forklifts and other equipment.
• Inspect and prepare trailers; sweep and clean before loading.
• Weigh and cube shipments, verify classifications and hazardous material paperwork.
• Review freight bills, manifests, and instructions; ensure accurate labeling and routing.
