Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Part Time Outbound Freight Handler in Jackson, TN. You will load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and ensure safe handling and accurate paperwork.

The role requires forklift operation experience, the ability to pass background checks and drug testing, and preferred experience in warehouse settings. Second shift with pay range $18.10–$21.60 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Background check and alcohol/drug test required.
• Experience as Forklift Operator, Dock/ Warehouse Worker or Material Handler preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading freight.
• Use proper lifting techniques to load/unload freight.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for classification and safe handling.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
• Check manifests, freight bills, and hazardous material paperwork for accuracy.
