Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Transportation Specialist to oversee store delivery transportation and furniture/home delivery from Macy's Delivery Centers. You will collaborate with store operations, 3PLs, and carriers to optimize outbound shipments for speed, cost, and service, reporting to the Manager, Outbound Transportation.

The role requires strong planning, data analysis, and communication skills, with a focus on cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
• 3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Transportation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate store/furniture delivery transportation for Macy's Delivery DCs and hubs.
• Analyze delivery schedules and optimize routes to maximize space and control costs.
• Use Macy's Transportation systems to create routings and appointments.
• Plan daily/weekly routing with carriers and deploy drivers to optimize utilization.
• Communicate transportation plans to store operations and address questions.
