Job summary

American Electric Power in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Project Manager Associate to assist in planning, coordinating, and controlling intermediate and/or complex projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include supporting lead PM, coordinating with stakeholders, developing project plans, tracking schedule and budget, and promoting safe work practices in line with AEP's System Safety Process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; or Associate's degree with 2 years of qualified experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating assigned project activities.
• Perform coordination and administrative tasks as delegated by the lead project manager.
• Act on behalf of the lead project manager when unavailable.
• Support safety programs and promote a zero-harm environment.
• Develop and coordinate project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead planning meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Communicate clearly in written and oral reports.
