Job summary

Altom Transport seeks an experienced Owner Operator Driver who will act as a business owner within our safe, service-driven operation. You will haul chemical and petroleum products in tank trailers, while maintaining logs, complying with Hazmat regulations, and representing the company at customer locations.

You will manage fuel, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue. Expect a 24/7 operation mindset and flexible schedules to ensure consistent workloads and excellent service across

Qualifications

• CDL A with tanker endorsement preferred, hazmat a plus.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable tanker driving experience.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screening, background check.
• Clean MVR and safety record required.
• Ability to work independently and manage logistics.
• Willingness to work 24/7 as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport chemical and petroleum products in tank trailers per regulations.
• Maintain equipment to meet inspection standards for long-haul trips.
• Load and unload using ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker procedures at points.
• Keep logs up to date and follow Hazmat regulations.
• Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer sites.
• Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
• Maintain consistent workload to meet mileage or hourly targets.
• Be available for 24/7 operations when required.
