Job summary

Altom Transport is seeking an Owner Operator Driver who will act as a business owner in our tank-trailer operation. You will haul chemical and petroleum products, maintain your equipment, and manage loading, logs, and Hazmat compliance.

This role emphasizes independence, strong accountability, and customer-facing professionalism. The position offers long-term partnership potential, high revenue opportunities, and support for 24/7 scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license valid and current

Responsibilities

• Safe transportation of chemical and petroleum products in tank trailers in compliance with DOT regulations
• Equipment maintenance and daily pre-trip inspections
• Loading/unloading at customer sites with ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker equipment
• Maintain logs and Hazmat compliance documentation
• Provide professional customer service at all locations
• Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue
• Meet mileage or hourly targets to sustain workload
• Be available for 24/7 operations when needed
