Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator based in Salt Lake City, UT, with operations extending to the San Jose area in Northern California. Drivers may be based in Utah or Nevada and run approximately 700–750 miles one way, translating to 1,400–1,500 miles per round trip.

The role typically requires two round trips per week (2,800–3,000 miles total) with about 2 weeks out at a time, offering bi-weekly home time and an earnings range around $200k–$250k annually.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Ability to use mobile apps and computer software to manage routes and logs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the priority and works safely at all times.
• Operates tractor trailer units.
• Adheres to weight limits and proper unit utilization.
• Loads and unloads hazardous/non-hazardous waste; secures loads properly.
• Places placards per DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintains logs, invoicing, time sheets, and trip/vehicle reports.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Salt Lake City, UT.T his position runs from Salt Lake City, Utah area to the San Jose area in Northern California. The drivers can be based out of Utah or Nevada. EIt is about 700-750 miles between facilities one way, so it is 1,400-1,500 miles for a round-trip. The drivers must be able to do two round-trips per week (2,800-3,000 miles total).2 weeks out.

About The Role

• Average $200-250K per year
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
