MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, ME is seeking a general otolaryngologist to join our ENT team. This role offers mentorship from senior physicians and a path to develop a sub-specialty interest while providing comprehensive ENT care.

The position features a strong collaboration with the Alfond Cancer Center, a modern OR suite, and a generous benefits package. On-call is 1 in 4 during regular operations.

Qualifications

The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at MaineGeneral is seeking a Board eligible or Board-certified general otolaryngologists to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a comprehensive ENT service provider in Central Maine, including specialties in rhinology, pediatrics, otology, and Head & Neck surgery, in collaboration with the Alfond Cancer Center.

About the Role

General otolaryngologists, including those currently completing residency training, are ideal candidates for our vacancies. As a new otolaryngology physician, you will have the opportunity to develop a special interest that complements our existing team. You will join two permanent otolaryngologists, including the Medical Director, who will provide mentorship for newly qualified ENT physicians.

Areas of Interest

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise or interest in:

• Rhinology
• Dizziness and balance disorders
• Otology/Middle ear surgery

On Call Commitment

Our on-call schedule is 1 in 4. During our rebuilding phase, we are provided additional call coverage remotely.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

We provide well-equipped ORs, featuring CO2 laser, operating microscopes, nerve monitoring, and Medtronic Stealth Navigation systems.
