Job summary

Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, seeks a faculty member to serve as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the new Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant program. The AFWC will lead fieldwork partnerships, manage clinical education processes, and coordinate Level I/II experiences in alignment with ACOTE standards.

Qualifications

• Current license in good standing as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant in Utah, or eligibility with licensure by start date.
• Master’s degree from a USDE-accredited institution.
• Two years of documented professional OT/OTA experience including clinical practice and fieldwork education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple fieldwork sites and manage affiliation agreements and MOUs.
• Monitor student placements, hours, logs, and evaluations with fieldwork educators.
• Develop and maintain fieldwork policies and ACOTE-aligned procedures.
• Teach OTA and related Rehabilitation Sciences courses and participate in curricular assessment.
• Collaborate with the Program Director and faculty to implement and refine the curriculum.
