Job summary

The University of Alabama invites applications for the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator of its new Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program. The role supports the Program Director in Accreditation, clinical experiences, and program operations, with emphasis on student scholarship and growth.

This is a tenure-track/tenured or clinical track appointment. Ideal candidates will have an OT license, a doctoral degree, and at least eight years of OT practice including administrative and teaching

Qualifications

• OT license active in a U.S. jurisdiction and Alabama licensure eligibility.
• Doctoral degree (OTD, PhD, or equivalent) from a US Department of Education recognized institution.
• Minimum eight years of OT experience including clinical practice, academic administrative experience, scholarship of application or teaching and learning, and understanding the role of the occupational therapy assistant; four years as a faculty member at the postbaccalaureate level.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director/Associate Program Director with Accreditation & Compliance requirements for the OT program.
• Support student clinical experiences and scholarship within the program.
• Build and oversee the clinical education enterprise, operations, and strategic growth.
• Collaborate with CCHS to ensure high-quality fieldwork experiences and program outcomes.
