Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered occupational therapy services across age groups. The role supports the treatment plan, collaborates with the team, and ensures thorough documentation. A sign-on bonus is available.

The OTA will participate in education for patients and families, adapt interventions to patient needs, and contribute to quality initiatives within the rehabilitation department.

Qualifications

• Licensed OTA in good standing (state-specific).
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Continuing education to meet acute stroke care requirements.
• 1+ year OTA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications in daily notes.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions and adapts to patient response.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and healthcare team throughout rehabilitation.
• Educates patients and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Maintains clear documentation supporting clinical decisions and payer requirements.
• Participates in quality improvement activities related to service delivery.
