Job summary

Dura-Line, an Orbia Connectivity Solutions company, seeks an experienced Operational Technologies Engineer to bridge OT and IT across manufacturing sites. You will ensure reliable data flows from shop floor to engineering and leadership, enabling data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include configuring Ignition, managing historian platforms, and coordinating with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and IT. Remote role with up to 25% travel across the US & Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years OT/industrial automation experience.
• Ignition SCADA configuration and admin experience.
• Experience with Canary, PI Historian, Wonderware Historian or similar.
• Knowledge of OPC communications and data acquisition.
• Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment.
• Strong shop-floor networking and data logging knowledge.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with MS Office, PM tools and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support OT systems and integration with enterprise IT.
• Configure and maintain Ignition applications and integrations.
• Administer and support historian platforms and data stores.
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability across OT and connected apps.
• Select I/O/connectivity hardware for data acquisitions.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment and troubleshooting.
• Develop OT standards, docs, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, IT and vendors.
• Influence equipment selection to meet future data needs.
• Evaluate new tech for manufacturing performance and data integrity.
• Provide guidance to plant maintenance/engineering teams.
• Support multiple facilities with remote and onsite work.
