Job summary

InspireXT in the United States is seeking a hands-on Operational Technology (OT) & Application Engineer to drive industrial data integration within the Connected Shopfloor proposition. You will connect shopfloor assets to analytics and enterprise systems using the Litmus Edge suite.

This role sits at the intersection of OT and IT, requiring collaboration with operators and engineers, deployment in PoC and production, and travel to client sites to implement and validate solutions in real

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, CS, or related field.
• Hands-on exposure to industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of PLCs and shopfloor operations.
• Familiarity with OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT protocols.
• Basic programming or scripting: Python, JavaScript, SQL.
• Strong problem-solving and OT/IT cross-functional work ability.
• Excellent communication and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Connect shopfloor machines and sensors across environments using Litmus and IIoT platforms.
• Configure industrial protocols including OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT.
• Create structured data models via mapping, tagging, asset hierarchies, and tag structures.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Litmus Edge and Litmus Edge Manager in PoC and production.
• Provide clean data streams for downstream analytics and enterprise execution layers.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, data quality, and performance in real-time industrial environments.
• Collaborate with operators and engineers to design practical solutions.
• Travel to client sites to implement, validate, and optimize solutions in real manufacturing environments.
• Document implementations and best practices for client teams.
