Job summary

NW Natural is seeking a seasoned IS Enterprise Architect for OT to define and govern the company’s Operational Technology architecture across gas control, distribution, and field operations. You will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Cybersecurity, and Engineering teams to ensure secure, reliable OT solutions aligned with business goals.

The role emphasizes governance, lifecycle management, and modernization, with a hybrid schedule based in Portland.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years designing, architecting, and implementing technology solutions, with OT/industrial focus.
Experience developing architecture strategies, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
Knowledge of OT systems in gas/industrial operations (SCADA, gas control, telemetry).

Responsibilities

Define and communicate the enterprise OT architecture strategy, standards, and roadmaps.
Define current and future OT architectures for gas control, pipelines, distribution, and field telemetry.
Ensure OT architectures meet safety, reliability, availability, and scalability requirements.
Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, operations, and engineering teams to deliver standard OT solutions.
Provide architectural oversight, governance, and risk mitigation for OT implementations.
Engage in vendor evaluations, PoCs, and architecture trade-offs for OT platforms.
