Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking an IT Specialist – Utility Operational Technology (OT) to provide IT operations and maintenance support for client systems and applications. The role focuses on ensuring reliable grid services during outages with tasking similar to a Systems Administrator.

The position is hybrid, requiring at least two days on the client site weekly, and involves on-call duties during severe weather or system emergencies, plus scripting in PowerShell or Python.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of IT experience.
• 3-5 years supporting operational technology (OT).
• 3-5 years in Electric Utilities software environments with CGI - OMS like Pragma, OpenGrid, or Oracle.
• Experience performing data analysis.
• Experience with SQL tools (e.g., PL/SQL).
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell or Python).
• Experience with Windows Server maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design, Configure, Test, Administer, Automate, and Monitor grid application software (OpenGrid, Pragma, OMS).
• Troubleshoot real-time grid integration and system administration.
• Assist with system logic, processes, and data.
• Ensure high standards of performance for customer communications and operations.
• Write and review documentation for configuration, logic, and test plans.
• Contribute to database and operating system server upgrades.
