Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an OT Architect to shape secure, resilient, and scalable technology solutions for manufacturing environments. The role connects process control, engineering, cybersecurity, and IT teams to define architecture direction and improve reliability and security enterprise-wide.

The Infrastructure Architecture team partners with businesses and tech capabilities to develop standards, roadmaps, and reusable patterns.

Qualifications

Experience deploying or administering industrial control technologies in manufacturing environments (PLC, HMI, DCS).
Experience designing or supporting industrial networks and firewalls using Purdue segmentation or equivalent models.
Proven ability to lead cross-organizational architecture initiatives.
Experience applying high availability, recovery, data replication, and virtualization concepts.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain IT/OT architecture standards, reference designs, and reusable patterns.
Lead cross-organizational architecture efforts across manufacturing, engineering, cybersecurity, and IT teams.
Guide design and implementation of OT solutions including DCS, PLC, HMI, industrial networking, edge, and IoT.
Assess emerging technologies for gaps, risks, and value creation.
Translate regulatory and security requirements into actionable architecture decisions and standards.
Advise on reliability, segmentation, availability, recovery, replication, and secure config for manufacturing.
Promote adoption of approved patterns and share knowledge across teams.
Apply automation and infrastructure-as-code to improve governance and speed.
