Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd in Durham, UK seeks an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist for the Housing (Adaptations & Equipment) Team on a full-time temporary basis. You will assess housing needs, collaborate with housing teams, and advise on major and minor adaptations to support independence.

Home visits and documentation are integral to the role. The assignment runs 8 June 2026 to 31 July 2026 with a 08:30–17:00 schedule.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• Experience in social care OT, especially housing/adaptations and equipment provision.
• Ability to work independently with a varied caseload.
• Strong communication and assessment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess housing needs for adaptations and equipment solutions.
• Collaborate with housing teams to design and implement interventions.
• Provide guidance on major and minor adaptations to support independence.
• Conduct home visits to recommend suitable equipment and modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions and outcomes.
