Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist for Islington Council to join the Equipment & Adaptations team. You will use specialist OT skills to assess residents, identify equipment and home adaptations, and provide practical, person-centred solutions that promote independence, safety and wellbeing in everyday life.

Qualifications

• Must hold HCPC registration.
• Post-qualification occupational therapy experience.
• Experience assessing and recommending equipment and adaptations.
• Experience with adults, older people and/or disabilities.
• Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and adult social care in practice.
• Ability to undertake holistic, strengths-based assessments.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage own caseload and work independently.
• Includes free DBS and compliance service.
• Payroll support provided (twice weekly) to speed up payments.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive OT assessments and interventions.
• Assess functional needs and identify appropriate equipment and adaptations.
• Recommend practical solutions to promote independence, safety and wellbeing.
• Apply strengths-based, person-centred assessment and care planning.
• Work in line with Care Act 2014 to support early intervention.
• Identify residents who may benefit from preventative interventions.
• Collaborate with Health, Social Care and multidisciplinary teams.
• Apply service criteria and manage case closures and transfers.
• Support development of effective pathways and joined-up solutions.
• Contribute to service development, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of professional conduct and ethics.
