Cypress Creek Energy in Durham, NC is seeking an OT Cybersecurity Engineer to protect SCADA/OT systems, patching, malware protection, and intrusion monitoring. The role collaborates with SCADA, IT, and vendors to maintain resilience without disrupting operations.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in cybersecurity, experience with patch management, vulnerability scanning, and OT security. The job offers a hybrid schedule with in‑office three days per week and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cybersecurity, security operations, or OT/IT systems security.
• Hands‑on experience with patch management and vulnerability scanning.
• Experience administering antivirus or endpoint protection tools and responding to detections.

Responsibilities

• Patch and vulnerability management for OT assets including SCADA servers, HMIs, historians, RTUs/PLCs, firewalls, switches, routers, and gateways.
• Antivirus and endpoint protection deployment and management on OT Windows and Linux hosts; review detections and remediate.
• Monitor OT network traffic with IDS/IPS tools; triage alerts in SIEM; maintain incident response plans; coordinate with IT/OT and vendors.
• Perform active and passive vulnerability assessments of OT assets; develop mitigation plans with asset owners and vendors; coordinate third‑party assessments.
• Develop and maintain site‑specific OT disaster recovery procedures; ensure backups and test restoration; coordinate with operations and vendors.
• Collect and maintain evidence for NERC CIP requirements and align with NIST CSF; maintain asset inventories and network diagrams.
