Job summary

Fremont Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support licensed OTs in implementing patient care plans. The OTA will help residents with rehabilitative activities and exercises according to a treatment plan, monitor performance, and document progress for the supervising OT.

Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, answering calls, restocking supplies, and completing paperwork.

Qualifications

• Assists with patient care under supervision of an OT
• Follows treatment plans and documents progress
• Communicates with residents and families as needed

Responsibilities

• Conducts resident screens as allowed by state act
• Assists residents with rehabilitative activities and exercises
• Monitors residents performing activities and provides encouragement
• Records residents' progress for OT review
• Assists scheduling, phones, and paperwork
• Provides training to residents, caregivers and families per care plan
• Completes required forms per policy and regulations

Education

Associates Degree from a AOTA accredited program

Licensed OTA if required by state law
