Job summary

Deaconess HomeCare - Selmer is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide therapy to patients in home-based settings, under supervision. You will support patients to regain fullest physical ability and educate families and caregivers as part of the care team.

The role requires OTA licensure in the state, a valid driver's license with access to reliable transport, and NBCOT certification in TN. Expect diverse, patient-centered care across home environments.

Qualifications

• Must hold OTA licensure in the state of practice.
• Must have reliable transportation to perform home visits.
• Must be NBCOT-certified in TN and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Follow state OT laws and the plan of care under the supervising OT.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based therapy within scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to nurse and physician.
• Educate patient, family, and health care team on therapy areas.
• Provide care regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
