Big Spring Center for Skilled Care in Texas is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of an OT. Candidate must hold a Texas OTA license and COTA certification, with SNF/long-term care exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OTA license is required.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification required.
• SNF/Long-term care experience preferred.
• Good standing with regulatory boards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the OT.
• Ensure all treatment aligns with the plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust as needed.
• Complete required forms and documentation per policy and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
