Job summary

Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team in Texas. You will plan and administer treatments to residents, working under an OT to improve independence and quality of life.

You will document thoroughly, participate in team meetings, and support families. SNF or long-term care experience is preferred, and familiarity with Net Health is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-term Care experience preferred.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
