Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Manager of OT Architecture to lead development, governance, and implementation of OT architecture standards across NYCT, LIRR, MNR, and B&T. You will guide teams responsible for SCADA, signaling, AFC/OMNY, CCTV, telemetry, and facility networks, ensuring security, resilience, and enterprise alignment.

The role reports to senior leadership, manages engineers across agencies, and collaborates with capital planning and vendors to optimize OT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years OT/IT network experience.
• Minimum 4 years in supervisory or management roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes enterprise OT reference architectures and engineering standards.
• Provides Tier 3 architectural guidance for complex incidents and escalations.
• Defines OT security stack using NIST 800-82 and IEC 62443; applies Zero Trust.
• Leads design and integration of transport media (fiber, DAS, WiFi, LTE/5G).
• Oversees OT/IT network standards, configurations, and modernization efforts.
