Job summary

Techno is seeking an Operational Readiness Manager to lead readiness for the NYCT CBTC Modernization Program, guiding organizational transformation and preparing operations and maintenance teams for the transition to CBTC technology.

You will develop strategies, assess gaps across operations, staffing, processes and resources, and coordinate new workflows and procedures. You will partner with MTA leadership to align readiness objectives, resources, and funding, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in transit operations and maintenance, preferably within a large urban rail system.
• Experience leading organizational change management, operational readiness, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of CBTC systems and their operational impacts.
• Ability to effectively coordinate across large, complex organizations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.

This role will lead operational readiness and organizational transformation efforts to prepare subway operations and maintenance teams for the transition from conventional signal systems to Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) technology.

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational readiness and transformation strategies.
• Assess operational, maintenance, staffing, process, and resource gaps associated with CBTC implementation.
• Lead readiness activities and coordinate the development of new workflows, procedures, and processes.
• Partner with MTA leadership and departments to align readiness objectives, resources, and funding needs.

• Facilitate workshops, training, and organizational awareness activities.

COMPENSATION

The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $85-$110/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
