Techno Consult Engineering, PC is seeking an Operational Readiness Manager to support the NYCT Subway CBTC Modernization Program. You will lead readiness and organizational transformation to prepare operations and maintenance teams for the CBTC transition.

You will develop strategies, assess gaps, coordinate workflows, and liaise with MTA leadership. Strong communication and facilitation skills are essential, with experience in large urban rail environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience in transit operations and maintenance, preferably in a large urban rail system.
• Experience leading organizational change management, operational readiness, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of CBTC systems and their operational impacts.
• Ability to coordinate across large, complex organizations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Techno is seeking an Operational Readiness Manager to support the NYCT Subway CBTC Modernization Program. This role will lead operational readiness and organizational transformation efforts to prepare subway operations and maintenance teams for the transition from conventional signal systems to Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) technology.

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational readiness and transformation strategies.
• Assess operational, maintenance, staffing, process, and resource gaps associated with CBTC implementation.
• Lead readiness activities and coordinate the development of new workflows, procedures, and processes.
• Partner with MTA leadership and departments to align readiness objectives, resources, and funding needs.
• Communicate operational changes and readiness requirements to leadership, management, and frontline personnel.
• Facilitate workshops, training, and organizational awareness activities.
• Integrate readiness initiatives into program governance, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Document lessons learned and continuously refine readiness strategies throughout implementation.

COMPENSATION

The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $85-$110/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
