Job summary

APM Terminals Elizabeth is seeking an Applications Specialist to support strategy, performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of terminal software systems across the dockside environment. You will collaborate with operations, IT, vendors and stakeholders to deliver resilient, secure OT solutions during the Elizabeth Upgrade Project, with regular site visits to active terminals and yards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of experience providing end-user support across software, hardware, and mobile devices, with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Hands-on experience working with OT infrastructure components and operational technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of business application initiatives aligned with terminal operational technology strategy and business priorities.
• Drive system reliability and performance through incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support the deployment, integration, testing, and operational readiness of existing and new OT software solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors, OEMs, and system integrators to ensure successful delivery of technology solutions.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels, escalating complex issues when required.
• Support compliance with cybersecurity requirements, enterprise IT/OT standards, labor agreements, and operational procedures.
• Maintain, configure, install, and replace IT and OT hardware and software components while supporting change management and operational readiness activities.
