Job summary

Bellway Health and Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct OT services in the facility, ensuring high-quality resident care in compliance with standards. Position available as Full-Time or PRN.

The role includes screening, evaluating, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team. Collaboration with COTA and documentation/billing are essential responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active AL license required.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents and determine best interventions.
• Evaluate residents to develop treatment plans with goals.
• Interpret evaluation findings to residents, families, and team members.
• Establish individual therapy schedules with team members.
• Conduct therapy per plan and document/bill services.

Bellway Health and Rehab is hiring for an Occupational Therapist OT to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Full-Time or PRN

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient

• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members

• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services

• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients

• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy

• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in AL

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
