Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Lanai is seeking a Food Runner / Dining Assistant to deliver food, support dining operations, and maintain a pristine dining room. The role requires strong guest service, teamwork, and the ability to work flexible hours on Lanai, Hawaii.

Candidates must have legal US work authorization, with benefits and competitive pay. The position supports a luxury guest experience across resort dining outlets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders promptly with correct presentation and temperature.
• Coordinate food delivery and share menu knowledge with guests; work with kitchen and service teams.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness; clear/reset tables and stock service items.
• Complete opening and closing duties: restocking, polishing silverware, setting up/breaking down stations.
• Assist with dining room setup and high-volume periods to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Know beverage offerings to help answer guest questions.

OSTERIA MOZZA FOOD RUNNER/DINING ASSISTANT

The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for a Food Runner / Dining Assistant who share a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation, temperature, order accuracy, and compliance with modifications and allergen requirements while providing friendly and professional guest service.
• Support seamless dining operations by coordinating food delivery, sharing menu knowledge with guests, and working closely with kitchen and service teams to maintain efficient service flow.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness by clearing and resetting tables, sanitising surfaces, replenishing water, condiments, and service items, and keeping side stations organised and guest‑ready.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies and beverages, polishing silverware and glassware, and setting up and breaking down service stations.
• Assist with dining room setup and maintenance, including arranging tables and chairs, preparing service areas, and supporting team members during high‑volume periods to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, to support guest inquiries and service standards.

WHAT TO BRING

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorisation in United States
• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty‑four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required.
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Hawaii Food Handler's Card is required for this role
• Maui Liquor Card is preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean, organised, and well‑stocked workspace. Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism and composure in a fast‑paced environment
