Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Lanai is looking for a Food Runner/Dining Assistant who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into every interaction. Our team delivers exceptional guest experiences by providing knowledge of the resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each exchange.

The role requires legal US work authorization, Hawaii TB clearance, and a Hawaii Food Handler's Card. Maui Liquor Card is preferred.

Qualifications

• Legal work authorization in United States
• Hawaii TB clearance card per Hawaii DOH requirements
• Hawaii Food Handler's Card
• May require Maui Liquor Card (preferred but not required)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work in a seven days a week, twenty-four hours schedule including holidays

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately with friendly, professional guest service
• Coordinate food delivery and share menu knowledge with guests
• Work closely with kitchen and service teams to maintain efficient service flow
• Maintain dining room cleanliness, clear and reset tables, and keep service areas stocked
• Assist with opening/closing duties, restocking, polishing, and setting up/breaking down stations
• Support dining room setup and guest experience during high-volume periods
• Maintain knowledge of beverages to answer guest inquiries and uphold service standards

OSTERIA MOZZA FOOD RUNNER/DINING ASSISTANT

Osteria Mozza Lāna'i

Acclaimed chef Nancy Silverton is known for Los Angeles eateries such as Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza, Pizzeria Mozza and chi SPACCA. Signature dishes include Nancy’s Caesar, Ricotta & Egg Raviolo, Grilled Hamachi Spiedino and Alla Benno pizza featuring pineapple in a nod to Lanai’s heritage. Salads will feature fresh lettuces from nearby Sensei Farms while pasta is made with local eggs, producing a uniquely rich fresh pasta dough. Breakfast specials include Smoked Salmon Crostone, Sourdough Waffles and Eggs in Purgator.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation, temperature, order accuracy, and compliance with modifications and allergen requirements while providing friendly and professional guest service
• Support seamless dining operations by coordinating food delivery, sharing menu knowledge with guests, and working closely with kitchen and service teams to maintain efficient service flow
• Maintain dining room cleanliness by clearing and resetting tables, sanitizing surfaces, replenishing water, condiments, and service items, and keeping side stations organized and guest-ready
• Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies and beverages, polishing silverware and glassware, and setting up and breaking down service stations
• Assist with dining room setup and maintenance, including arranging tables and chairs, preparing service areas, and supporting team members during high-volume periods to ensure an exceptional guest experience
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, to support guest inquiries and service standards

What To Bring

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required.
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Hawaii Food Handler's Card is required for this role
• Maui Liquor Card is preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace. Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment
