Job summary

Somerville Public Schools is seeking an OST Program Helper to support daily Out-of-School Time activities. You will assist teachers, help supervise students, and contribute to a safe and engaging environment after school.

Responsibilities include assisting with games, enrichment, and academic support, plus setting up and cleaning rooms as needed. Position requires current high school student status and a valid work permit.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Somerville High School student.
• Must have a valid work permit for employment.

Responsibilities

• Support program activities under supervision of Lead and Assistant Teachers.
• Assist with small and large group activities, games, enrichment, and academic support.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for students.
• Help with classroom setup, cleanup, and organization of materials.
• Support staff in supervising students during program activities.
• Follow program expectations and directions from staff.
• Perform other duties consistent with the scope of the position as assigned.
