Job summary

Keene Young Mens is seeking a dedicated youth supervisor to oversee a group of school‑age children, delivering a safe, engaging program grounded in core YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. You will build meaningful relationships with members, youth, volunteers and families.

Responsibilities include supervising KFY OST programs at all locations, training staff, leading co‑staff, maintaining safety and cleanliness, attending meetings and events, and enforcing policies.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a background check.
• Minimum of 1 year supervising 3+ staff.
• 3+ years' experience working with youth, preferably in a school-age setting.
• Behavioral management experience within a school, childcare, camp setting or parenthood is preferred.
• 2-4 years' experience working with children with cognitive and developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse Prevention training within the first 30 days of hire.
• Completed health form within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Build personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests, exemplifying core values.
• Supervise and support KFY OST programs at all locations.
• Support and train staff in planning engaging, enrichment-based, age-appropriate activities.
• Provide leadership to co-staff.
• Adhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
• Attend staff meetings, training, and dedicated events.
• Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including medical, disciplinary, and emergencies policies.
• Fulfils any other functions appointed by YMCA Administration.
