Job summary

Euphemia L Haynes Public Charter School in Washington, DC seeks an OST Director to lead all PK–12 Out-of-School Time programming and ensure high-quality, equitable experiences across campuses. You will shape vision, staffing, budgeting, and compliance while guiding before/after care and summer programs.

You will oversee staffing, partnerships, and cross-campus alignment to support college, career, and life readiness, reporting to the Managing Director of Instruction, & Assessment, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7-10 years of PK-12 experience.
• Leading in a school or childcare setting preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Growth-minded, receptive to direction and feedback.
• Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a long-term OST vision aligned to priorities.
• Lead design and improvement of Middle/High OST programming including STEAM.
• Use data, outcomes, and feedback to strengthen programs.
• Provide coaching and leadership development for OST staff.
• Manage budget planning, expenditures, invoicing, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and policies.
• Oversee family communication and quarterly OST newsletters.
• Develop and sustain partnerships with community and education partners.
