Job summary

Baltimore Curriculum Project is seeking an Out-of-School Time (OST) Program Director to lead after-school and summer enrichment for K-5 students. The role requires strong leadership, education administration expertise, and active collaboration with school leadership and families.

The position is 12-month, salaried and exempt, with a focus on curriculum development, grant coordination, budgeting, and program operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required with 2–3 years of experience in developing and implementing educational enrichment programs.
• Experience with youth in after-school or recreation settings preferred.
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills; ability to communicate important contextual information.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks/initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, specifically low-income communities.
• Must be able to clear a background check conducted by Baltimore City Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Select and supervise staff for the program(s).
• Develop the academic and enrichment curriculum in alignment with grants and school administration.
• Manage the program budget and communicate with leadership as fiscal agent.
• Handle purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Submit monthly accounting and payroll records; ensure grant reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate on grant writing related to school programs.
• Maintain effective communications with staff, parents, students, and administration.
• Supervise program operations and address issues with problem-solving methods.
• Coordinate with school leadership to align OST activities with goals.
• Provide orientations, staff meetings, and training.
• Monitor attendance logs and meals for all programs.
• Recruit students and families; engage community partners.
• Ensure proper supervision of OST facilities.
