Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a DevOps / Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and operate cloud and hybrid infrastructure for our core OSS platform. You will build and secure scalable systems, run CI/CD pipelines, and own vendor software in production across multi-account AWS deployments.

You will implement monitoring, incident response, and cost controls while collaborating with global teams to bridge code and infrastructure. A strong automation mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps or SRE roles with hands-on cloud experience.
• Strong experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) and multi-account / multi-region setups.
• Proficiency in Terraform or AWS CDK for IaC and scalable deployment.
• CI/CD design and maintenance across GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration in production.
• Experience operating hybrid on-prem and cloud environments.
• Vendor software deployment and coordination in cloud environments.
• Database experience with SQL and NoSQL, plus messaging with SQS/Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud and hybrid infrastructure using IaC.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment workflows.
• Operate vendor-supplied software in cloud/hybrid environments as the owner.
• Monitor, secure, and optimize performance and cost across regions and accounts.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to align on deployment practices.
