Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks an OSS & Automation Architect to bridge business stakeholders and the OSS engineering team, translating operations needs into precise requirements. This dual-facing role ensures architecture reflects real-world workflows and that the OSS platform delivers tangible value.

Collaborate with Service Assurance, Service Delivery, and IT teams to define FRs/NFRs, automate key OSS processes, and design reliable integrations with ERP and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of OSS functions and IT landscape integration.
• Hands-on OSS platform experience (Ericsson OSSA, Nokia NSP, NetCracker, Amdocs, Rakuten Symphony or similar).
• Experience with TM Forum Open APIs and eTOM/TAM frameworks.
• ITIL-aligned service management background, esp. service assurance & incident workflows.
• BPM/workflow tooling experience (Camunda, Airflow, ServiceNow or equivalent).
• Ability to elicit and translate FRs/NFRs for engineering use.
• Experience specifying telecom OSS workflow automation & integrations (ERP, CRM).

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison for internal OSS program stakeholders on-site.
• Capture business processes, pain points, and automation opportunities for engineering hand-off.
• Translate business requirements into Functional and Non-Functional Requirements.
• Contribute requirements context and constraints to major design decisions.
• Define automation requirements for OSS workflows and governance rules.
• Identify integration points between OSS and ERP/CRM systems.
• Define and design workflow automation candidates and business logic.
• Participate in sprint reviews and validate functionality against acceptance criteria.
• Maintain documentation mapping OSS capabilities and decisions.
• Create a roadmap of automation opportunities ranked by impact.
