Job summary

Ezee Fiber is seeking an Engineer II, OSP Engineering to design, document, and implement outside plant infrastructure. You will work across field and office settings to support fiber and copper networks, partnering with construction, permitting, GIS and network planning teams to meet deadlines and standards.

This mid-level role emphasizes scalable OSP designs, regulatory compliance, and collaboration to deliver high-quality network expansion and maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; 3–5 years OSP engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of make-ready, NESC pole loading, FTTH/FTTP.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer OSP fiber routes using aerial, underground, and direct-buried methods.
• Create and maintain construction drawings, BOMs, and splicing schematics.
• Conduct field surveys, route verification, and permitting feasibility.
• Prepare permit packages; coordinate with municipalities, DOTs, and utilities.
• Support construction teams with design clarifications and field mods.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and propose upgrades for performance.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, NEC, and regulatory standards.
• Track project progress, report risks, and ensure deliverables on time and budget.
• Collaborate with PM, operations, and network engineering for execution.
