Job summary

Pearce is seeking an experienced OSP Engineer to support Lumen projects in Colorado. You will perform engineering activities for outside plant networks, including aerial and underground routes, permitting, ROW management, and field validation.

Hybrid work with field site requirements and close coordination with project teams. You will maintain accurate engineering records in Lumen systems, review routes for constructability, and ensure designs comply with NESC and utility standards.

Qualifications

• Experience performing OSP engineering for telecom networks.
• Knowledge of aerial, underground, buried, conduit, fiber and copper OSP infrastructure.
• Experience developing or reviewing OSP designs, work prints, routing plans and splicing information.
• Familiarity with permitting, ROW, easements, pole attachments and make-ready processes.
• Strong ability to document and maintain engineering records.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of OSP engineering for aerial, underground, buried, conduit, fiber, and copper telecommunications infrastructure.
• Develop and update OSP engineering designs, construction work prints, routing plans, splicing information, bills of materials, and supporting engineering documentation.
• Support work-order engineering, including road moves, relocations, network modifications, and new construction.
• Review proposed routes for constructability, existing infrastructure, capacity, clearances, and potential conflicts.
• Support fiber and copper network planning, including loss-budget and network-design considerations.
• Identify design conflicts and recommend practical engineering solutions that support project requirements, cost, and schedule.
