Job summary

Lumos is seeking an experienced OSP Engineer to plan and prepare construction drawings for fiber optic projects, selecting cost-effective routes and coordinating with planning teams. You will verify permits, review CAD/GIS data, and ensure timely project delivery.

The role emphasizes field-to-design alignment, cost estimation, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment. A strong background in OSP engineering and fibre networks is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA rules, site safety, NESC requirements, and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed construction and installation drawings; reviews CAD prints and GIS data for alignment with planning and project requirements.
• Provides estimates of labor and materials costs and design loss calculations.
• Maps and drafts using CAD and manual methods; researches ICMS records, permits, and ISP designs.
• Manages and tracks OSP work schedules; develops cost studies, performs estimates, and reports on progress and budget.
• Performs data validation using Excel, Snowflake/SQL queries, and reporting tools to support engineering decisions.
