Quantum Sky seeks an experienced Outside Plant Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN to lead design, development, and operation of complex OSP infrastructure. You will coordinate engineers, contractors, and authorities to deliver reliable fiber and copper facilities at the ORR.

You’ll manage documentation, estimates, bids, permits, and schedules, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements. This role targets federal-scale projects and career growth.

Formación

• Minimum bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience or 7 years’ experience with physical cabling and related infrastructure.
• US citizenship and DOE Q security clearance required.
• Advanced knowledge of copper and fiber splicing, testing and restoration.
• Experience in Outside Plant distribution and feeder engineering/design.
• Familiar with BICSI standards and related certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development, implementation and operation of OSP systems at ORR.
• Coordinate permits, bidding, and contractor management for copper/fiber installs.
• Maintain splice records, topography maps and as-built documentation.
• Prepare project estimates and ensure work complies with industry standards.
• Direct emergency restoration and coordinate with stakeholders as needed.
